The United States Department of Justice has ruled that all forms of online gambling aren’t illegal according to the Wire Act of 1961. The new decision states the Wire Act only targets sports wagering and not casino or poker offerings. This new position brings the possibilities of individual states or a couple of states banding together allowing online gambling within their states. It also reveals possibilities in the Industry which have not been available in quite a long time. First, the states have the possibility to create lots of tax revenue and some job creation based upon internet gambling. States who have gambling or Indian Gaming in their state should obviously be interested in pursuing intrastate internet gambling. There is a lot to gain and the possibility to balance their budgets. The problem is how they will go about it.

The slow method of playing poker is a deception to confuse your opponent about the strength of your hand. One way of doing this is to make weak bets, even when you have a good combination, so that your adversary gets a different impression. This is bluffing in a converse way, where you are betting weakly on a strong hand as against strongly on a low-ranked hand, to to make sure that your opponent will not resort to wagering belligerently. Another benefit of slow poker is to delude your opponent into a false sense of security, preventing him from folding early and terminationg your chances of a whopping pot. You could also pray that your opponent has a reasonable hand that will keep him involved in betting, so as to enable you to profit in the end. Slow poker has the definite advantage of being able to both save your high-ranked hands, as well as continue to engage the adversary in your play.
